Jason Oddy

Jason Oddy, is a British artist and writer. His work has been exhibited internationally including at The Photographers’ Gallery (London), Yossi Milo Gallery (New York), the Milan Triennale, Paris Photo, Casa Niemeyer (Brasilia) and the French Communist Party Headquarters (Paris). His work has been featured in numerous publications including Modern Painters, Aperture, Art Review, the AA Files, Art on Paper and the New York Times Magazine. In 2017 his book Notes du désertwas published by Grasset (Paris). In 2019 his monograph The Revolution Will Be Stopped Halfway: Oscar Niemeyer in Algeria was published by Columbia Books on Architecture and the City (New York).

Jason has taught at numerous institutions, including the School of Visual Arts (NY), Domus Academy (Milan), and London's University of the Arts. He holds an MA (with distinction) in post-war literary theory from University College London.

In 1999 he was commissioned to travel to ORT schools around the world and document activities there. He visited Latin America, the USA, Israel, Russia and France. The resulting images featured in ORT’s 120th anniversary book “Facing the Future” [see images].
