ORT Archive documents relating to Germany

Established in 1921, ORT Germany helped disenfranchised German Jews in the 1930s and during the Second World War. After the Holocaust, ORT schools in DP camps helped the survivors throughout Germany until 1957. ORT Germany has continued working as a fundraising organisation in support of World ORT programmes around the world. The ORT online archive holds records of activities between 1921 and 1949. More information on activities in Germany can be found in the 1935-1996 reports submitted to World ORT's governing bodies and in the World ORT Report (formerly the ORT Yearbook). These can be found under World ORT. Our photo galleries include more from ORT Germany and a brief history of ORT's activities in the country is available here.
