Letter from World Jewish Congress Executive to United ORT-OSE, 6 February 1940.

Reports the decisions of the Conference of Argentinian Jews: 1. launch an appeal for funds totalling 5,000,000 pesos; 2. Allocate 50% of these to Palestine; 3. allocate 50% to projects in support of Polish Jews, war victims in occupied areas and refugees in countries bordering Poland; 4. the part allocated to war victims shall be distributed to the World Jewish Congress, keeping in mind as much as possible, the needs of certain organisations, including ORT-OSE, constructively involved in assistance efforts. The letter further informs of an immediate 50,000-peso advance to cover the most urgent needs.
