Letter from ORT Union re farmers held in a French internment camp, 14 December 1939.
The letter to the Refugee Assistance Centre asks them to provide financial assistance to the Lot-et-Garonne farmers currently interned at the Catus par Cahors camp because financial help is not within ORT's remit. The letter mentions that ORT Union had helped install the farmers in the area in 1934, that the farmers are very loyal to their adopted country, that ORT Union is working on freeing them from the camp and in the meantime will try to ensure their farms continue to function in their absence.
