Letter from I. R. Mowshowitch to ORT-OSE re the Polish Jewry Assistance Council, 1940.

Reports on a meeting held at Woburn House in London to discuss the founding of the Polish Jewry Assistance Council. In attendance: the Board of Deputies, Federation of Jewish Relief Organisation Committee, ORT-OSE (represented by I. Mowshowitch and Colonel Levey). A draft plan was authored and ORT-OSE felt that it had already been viewed and pre-approved by all except ORT-OSE. Various Council membership proposals were discussed. Items 3 and 4 involved approach to funds distribution. Item 5 covered member organisation representation on the Council. The author describes the atmosphere in the presence of the Federation members as unpleasant. Urgently requests factual information on amounts collected by ORT-OSE in England and spent on assisting Polish refugees and considers who might represent ORT-OSE on the Council.
