American ORT was established in 1922. Women’s American ORT was formed in 1927. Both (now ORT America) have worked to support World ORT’s global operations. The ORT online archive currently holds correspondence, minutes, reports, publications and publicity material covering a wide period from 1922 to the 1980s. Particularly noteworthy is ORT Bulletin, American ORT's publication (1947-1975) which provides insight into ORT activities around the world throughout this period. It is well worth browsing through. More information on activities in the USA can be found in the 1935-1998 reports submitted to World ORT's governing bodies and in the World ORT Report (formerly the ORT Yearbook).
