ORT Archive documents relating to Scandinavia.

ORT’s work began in Sweden in 1946 when support for work in the DP camps was sought. Scandinavian ORT committees have supported ORT ever since. The ORT online archive currently holds one document: Vladimir Grossman’s personal recollection of ORT’s activities in Sweden, from the very beginning of relations in 1946 up until the time of writing in the 1970s (post 1972). It includes a description of his first meeting with the Swedish Prime Minister, Tage Erlander, in the company of Lord Marley. More information on activities in Scandinavia can be found in the 1947-1996 reports submitted to World ORT's governing bodies and in the World ORT Report (formerly the ORT Yearbook). These can be found under World ORT
